GoVid for YouTube App Reviews

Everything about this app is pracrical and Smooth. I had absolutely no complaints until i noticed that I couldnt see any videos in fullscreen using the current update. Now Fullscreen support is claimed to be one of the features in the app description. all of the support applies to browser settings which coan’t be the solution in this case. So I cannot change my rating until I see actual fullscreen support. I have high hopes for this software development team. And I can’t imagine this is a dificult fix. Please figure this out in next update.

I like this app. It’s easy to use. However, can you create an option to darken the UI.

Might as well just use Safari. Cant full screen in this app, serves iTunes affiliate ads too, which i can do without by just using a browser. I dont see why i need a special app (which is in fact just a browser that goes to one single website and does not allow any other functionality.. all in an iframe). This app takes as much space up as any browser.. why clutter the Mac with more apps when all i need to do is open youtube in a browser, wnd surf with more functionality than this limited window The fact i cannot fullscreen if i decide i want to watch something in full screen, makes this app not only superflous, which it is already due to the fact it does not do anyting a browser doesnt do, but also makes it no fun to use

I like the app however the full screen option that they say it does will not work. I will upgrade my review it they get it working as they say it is supposed to. You tube works flawlessly on Safari so looks like I will be going back to it.

Its ok but i cant watch in Fullscreen Veiw Also with the new version the screen is blank PLZ HELP MEH

I mean, lets be real, this is just a web wrapper around YouTube. Its sandboxed in a way that the YouTube player itself doesnt have permission to go fullscreen, even though the app can use the OS X fullscreen. The problem is that when its in OS X fullscreen, the window tries to disappear once it loses focus (i.e., you swipe to a different desktop/app), and then it gets really confused, leaving a black fullscreen app that you have to unfullscreen. You can use the settings to stop the disappearing act, but its clear that the app maker just pooped this out and is using as a vehicle to get you to buy their other apps too. The app seems to eat the media button presses while its open, so they are basically dead keys. Im using this as a glorified music playlist player and I dont care about the video at all. If I tried to use it as a proper YouTube interface, Id just uninstall it.

This app helps me to open youtube and watch videos faster. Great app.

This is a Good YouTube app. Easy to Use, for Search, Play, etc. Seems very reliable also! Glad I have it!

I liked some of the features like removing ads and the friendly design. But I can’t seem to find the fullscreen video option anymore. I believe we could launch a video in fullscreen mode before. We can still open the whole app in fullscreen mode but it ll be just like going to youtube on our browsers.

I have a Macbook Pro with OS X El Capitan Version 10.11.1. There is no Full Screen mode. When I click the Full Screen option as one would normally do on Youtube, I get an Unavailable notification. After one or one and a half hours of use, I get Ads showing up before each video. This happens even though I selected the block ads option in Preferences for the app. Sometimes the app freezes midway during a video even though my internet connection is fine and no other app is in use except Go Youtube so I know its not a memory or CPU issue. Last even though the User Interface is basically the exact same as when you watch Youbube normally, the fact that when I go to my Watch Later list, I have to actually click on the row to view the "X" to delete a video from my playlist or to see the "Move to top" option is really annoying. Especially when sometimes, it will interpret a single click as a double click and play the video instead of displaying me the delete option or the option to move it to the top. You would think that it would use the same On Hover effect like Youtube does normally. Its true that when it works, the video is seemless. But the cost of all of these glitches isnt worth it. Epecially when its only worked less than half the time. Ill be trying something else.

since I can’t watch in fullscreen I have not checked out the rest of the app. once they add fullscreen support I’ll come back with more to say.

Works like it should, allows you to play videos and sign in. However, there is absolutely no full screen support which is a major fail in terms of a Youtube player. It’s like going to a theater and having them leave the lights on during the movie. Secondly, it would be nice to be able to customize the appearance of Youtube. I.e. a “dark mode”. This app could easily be a five star app, but there needs to be major improvements over functionality and the UI.

I really like Go For Youtube. But in order to receive a 5 star update from me I would really like it to be compatible with the application magnets. I would like youtube running while actively taking notes on the computer, however when I tap outside of the Go For Youtube application it minimizes the window to where i can not see the video and I can not properly set up the multi window feature with magnets. Good client for youtube, just would like it to be more compatible with other software :)

this is an excellent app if you just want to listen to something quick, and even if you want to want to watch full on videos. my favorite feature is that there is a small icon that is on your header bar that allows you to access it very easily. go for it!!!

Much faster and better than viewing through Safari. I would give it more stars if I could hear the videos. The volume is so low they might as well be silent films. I tried turning up the volume slider and maxing out the volume on my Macbook to no avail. I may try this app again since I really want an alternative to watching through a browser.

i watch youtube as if its raguler tv (i dont have cable) so i watch it about three or more times a day. i have never had any problems with any of the apps or versions. ithank it getts better every time it gets upgraded.

It’s the best "youtube app”, it’s fast, easy to use and looks exactly like Youtube website. I very like it, I use it instated of go to the web browser and search for Youtube . I totally recomoned for this app.

It works just as it should! It’s very convenient, and you should consider getting it! I mean, it’s free. Where can you go wrong? A little suggestion to the developers: I would love it if I could open different tabs, because sometimes I just want to open another video before I forget to watch it without having to stop watching my current video.
